stage plays, comedies, musicals and pantomimes and run our own HATS

'Rotary Show'
First rehearsal for HAT's Rotary Show gig is on Mon 13th Feb 7.30pm. The theme is comedy numbers, the Show is Mar 15th-17th.
'2012 Dinner Dance'
Hats Dinner Dance is 25th February 2012 in the Memorial Hall. Tickets (to include dinner and disco by Emma) cost £16 and are available from Charles Jeffrey-Hudson or fundraising committee members

'Auditions for 'Allo 'allo'
There are read-through and auditions straight after the pantomime's conclusion on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th February at 7.30pm at the theatre. Come along to one or both evenings.

The Comedy Club makes a rare visit to HATS on 5th Feb with popular comedian Patrick Monahan
Regretfully our Business Manager, Alan Bewes, has decided to leave the HATS Committee. A very sad day for us all as he has done a tremendous amount of work for the society - a very loyal, hard working member!
The 2012 Panto ('Snow White') dates are confirmed as Monday 23rd January through Saturday 4th February 2012. Booking Office Opens Sat 31st December 2011.
UPdate on next years Show 'Allo 'Allo!
The 2012 Panto, Snow White, has now been cast and rehearsals have begun!
Following the AGM on 19th Sept, we have a new President and Committee
As well as the panto, HATS plan two shows in 2012 - 'Allo 'Allo in May and a Diamond Jubilee celebration in Sept
The annual general meeting will be held 7.30pm, 19 Sept at the Theatre Bodmin St, followed by a first reading of our 2012 Panto 'Snow White'
The Wine & Wisdom planned for 22 Oct in the White Hart will now take the form of a Quiz NIght
Hats Fundraising Committee have organised a 'Treasure Hunt' on foot on Sunday 21st August, starting at the Theatre at 2.30pm.

Our Sept production, Deadly Nightcap, is now cast and rehearsals have started.
For the first time since 1976, HATS proudly presents 'Snow White and the seven Dwarfs' as its 2012 Panto. A traditional panto with a modern, hilarious script.
Members wishing to attend a Stewards course in the near future should contact Alan Bewes
HATS will again be running a barbecue and doing the Furry Dance. Volunteers needed for both!
Amy Clarke plans Singing Evenings once a week at the theatre throughout the summer like a couple of years ago....open to all members and potential members. Start 7.15pm Mon 13 June
For Panto 2012, Heather Prouse has offered herself as a producer of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (not Dick Whittington as erroneously mentioned earlier) and Eve Earles is considering Jack and the Beanstalk. They will review this at the June Committee Meeting when a decision will be taken
Ken Tyrrell is producing 'Deadly Nightcap' by Francis Durbridge on Sept 8th-10th & 15th-17th.

A Charity Ball will be held on 1 Oct at Memorial Hall in memory of Angela, who passed away from cancer last year. HATS Members are invited to form a table or two.
Rotary Show is completely sold out! However you can ring 01409 253425 to be put on the waiting list, for any returned tickets
Note the Rotary Show is now on Friday 18th March and Saturday 19th March 2011 - a week earlier than previously planned, as John Nettles now has a filming engagement on the previous dates

Plough Arts Centre are running a free (lottery funded) course on Technical Theatre on Thurs 28th/29th Oct. Update - 12-18 yr olds only!!!!
2011 Panto is Cinderella produced by Annette Dennis, Mary Osborne and Heather Prouse.
A Casting Agency is looking for Extras for a Dartmoor shoot of a Major Feature Film in Aug/Sep. Update - they haven't yet 'called' Extras for the main shoot in Sept. So, even though you haven't heard, there is still a good chance!

Regretfully the second fund-raising walk, planned for 2nd August, has been cancelled.
The 2010 Panto is 'Queen of Hearts'. Performance is from last week January thru first week February 2010.
This Show has now been cast. Rehearsals start 30 Jun, leading to performance mid-September.
Despite the cancellation of the Show, there will be a fortnightly musical practice Monday evenings 7.30pm from 27 April.
Regretfully due to a variety of production difficulties, the Musical Showcase planned for this June, has had to be postponed until 2010.
