Queen of Hearts - 25 Jan - 6 Feb 2010
Overview
The
2010 Panto is 'Queen of Hearts', produced by that
father and daughter team Amy Clarke and Rob Painter,
with Mike Wonnaccott as the Musical Director.
The Panto will be run from Monday 25th January through Saturday 6th February 2010. As normal, we perform for two weeks, Monday-Saturday evenings and a matinee on the each of the two Saturdays.
The Story
The 'Queen of Hearts' is based on the nursery rhyme of the same name, involving the fearsome Queen, her henpacked husband, an evil prime minister, Alice and princes and fair young ladies in abundance. There are also of course fairies and demons and many familiar characters from Wonderland - the Mad Hatter, Walrus, the Duchess and many others.
It is a traditional panto, with the Queen as the dame and the familiar panto fun - lots of singing, dancing, jokes and plenty of slapstick!
