Dick Whittington, was a Pantomime directed by Mary Kelley.
This marked the zenith of Annette's career as our Principal Boy; in this show she sang Val's favourite song Quite Content. During the run Tommy the cat became ill, Des reckoned he was lucky to be the understudy, he says 'lucky' not only could he rest his head against Dick's thigh but also had his tummy scratched.
