The one production of this period, which easily falls into the top ten shows of all time, is 'Wind in the Willows' 1988. This enchanting tale by Kenneth Graham, was enjoyed by young and old. It also marked the stage debut of Aubrey Woollard and George Daniel - they worked backstage. One night before curtain up they were on stage chatting away oblivious that the overture was about to end, the curtain stared to open - panic was the word that comes to mind, both Aubrey & George broke all records as they fled for the safely of backstage. It has to be said that Aubrey has dedicated endless hours to the society as Assistant Treasurer, Licensee and caretaker, in many ways this has become he second home.
